The Worship/Art/Music Ministry Action Team
The Worship/Art/Music Ministry Action Team seeks to creatively and prayerfully craft worship experiences to enliven the spirits of all who worship at Ascension St. Matthew's Church. We strive to operate at a high level of excellence in our use of Word and Sacrament. It is our goal that music, liturgy, and visual aspects of worship enhance the worship experience for visitors and members alike. The Worship, Art and Music MAT chairperson coordinates and leads meetings, delegates' authority, and with the MAT, aligns and trains volunteers for all aspects of worship, prepares an annual budget, oversees expenses, and works closely with clergy. In addition to compiling the weekly service bulletins, coordinating all music, and assisting the clergy, the Worship/Art/Music MAT also supports the following ministries:

Choir
Altar Guild Programs
Program Bell Carillon chime music for all occasions
Live stream services to YouTube and Facebook
Hosts piano and violin student recitals and other outside musical concerts and receptions
Oversees all aspects of art placed in the building as well as maintenance of all bulletin boards
Coordinates with other musicians for special music
Music for weddings and funerals
